Glaïeuls d'Abyssinie et autres fleurs...

Comme toute bonne chose a une fin, c'est déjà le temps des dernières fleurs pour cet été.

Les plates-bandes ont joui d'une abondante floraison cette année. Il y a eu de la chaleur ainsi que de la pluie assez fréquemment et ici, pas trop de grosses tempêtes de vent. Les fleurs ont donc été protégées.

Au printemps dernier, j'avais acheté quelques bulbes tendres; des glaïeuls communs, des croscomias ainsi qu'une autre variété de glaïeuls : les glaïeuls d'Abyssinie que j'avais planté pour la première fois il y a deux ans et que j'avais adoré.

Malheureusement, aucun des bulbes de croscomias n'a germé. Je me suis donc contentée des glaïeuls qui ont été magnifiques mais que je n'ai eu la chance de photographier. J'ai quand même eu la chance de prendre des photos des glaïeuls d'Abyssinie.

Alors voici donc, dans toute leur beauté, quelques clichés de ces fleurs que j'adore pour leur parfum et leur grande délicatesse.

  1. Colourful flowers in your garden and I like the Hosta plantaginea and the Gladiolus callianthus most for their wonderful fragrance, they are real favorites of mine and have them also in my garden.

    1. Thank you Janneke. Yes, they are both very fragrant; white flowers have the strongest perfumes most of the time. : ) Glad to know you have them in your garden too!

    1. Merci Denise! Moi aussi j'aime bien cette monarde rose dont je ne me souviens plus de la variété (il en existe quelques unes). :)

  7. Flowers are always great to make someone happy. Whether you get them now see in a bouquet, a picture or a post. You've really made a great post, and your photos are also very atmospheric and beautiful. The gladiolus I find very playful and Helenium very beautiful and colorful.
